Amidst the twisted metal of a mortally wounded ship, survival becomes the only possible mission, and the memories of the fallen the only burden to bear.

While patrolling near the border between the United Federation of Planets and the Cardassian Union, the U.S.S. Europa (NCC-1648-E), a Sovereign-class vessel, intercepts a distress call from a Klingon outpost.

What begins as an emergency relief mission in support of allied lines turns into an unequal battle against an enemy flotilla superior in number and power. In what will go down in history as one of the darkest moments of the Dominion War, only a few survivors — including Dr. Katherine Pulaski and Lieutenant Eva Ferrari — remain to bear witness to the heroism and horror that unfolded amid the ruins of Qu'Vat.

👉Prologue. The Shadow of the Storm – As the Dominion War rages across the Alpha Quadrant, the U.S.S. Europa patrols the border between the United Federation of Planets and the Cardassian Union in a tense calm. The calm is but a thin veil: a sudden red alert will drag the Europa out of the tedium of surveillance and into the heart of the carnage.

👉Chapter I. On the Brink of the Precipice – As the Europa prepares for an impact that not only appears imminent but is inevitable, the echo of the red alert reverberates across the quadrants, mobilising Starfleet in its entirety. From the Leonidas to the Defiant, to the bridge of the Enterprise (and beyond!), warp engines are pushed to their limits to respond to a cry for help that cannot be ignored. Between difficult decisions at Starfleet Command and the desperate rush for reinforcements, the fate of Qu'Vat becomes the pivot on which the future of the war hinges.

👉Chapter II. Blood and Dust – While rescue efforts are still underway, all hell breaks loose near Qu'Vat: the Europa and the Klingon ships put up desperate resistance against the combined ferocity of the Cardassian and Jem'Hadar forces.
