After the tragic mission on a remote planet in the Gamma Quadrant, Torga IV, the return to the station brings with it a load of regrets and unanswered questions. As the Dominion War begins to show its cruelest face, it is not only the military personnel employed in the war who suffer the consequences, but also their families.

Returning from a bloody mission, Captain Sisko and Jadzia Dax find themselves having to reconsider their lives during the war with the Dominion and the burden it places on their families and loved ones.

👉Prologue. The echoes of warThe wounds of Torga IV didn't heal when arriving at Deep Space 9. The tensions caused by the burden of war also creep into the minds of the civilians aboard Deep Space 9, a frontier zone, spreading constant fear among those who cannot avoid going into battle or embarking on a mission that, however harmless, could turn into a catastrophe.

👉Chapter I. The Right to Make Mistakes – With the events of Torga IV still fresh in his mind, Captain Sisko tries to keep his son safe on Deep Space 9 by asking him to go to Earth, while Jadzia and Lenara have a tense confrontation in their quarters.
