[FANFICTION] - WHAT IF: A STAR TREK SERIES - SECOND CHANCES

For the first time since I started writing fanfiction, I tried to participate in a 'drabble challenge' proposed within a Discord server I'm a member of, FanFiction Library. I actually didn't come out very well, considering how a proper drabble consists of exactly 100 words... and I wrote a good 450 😂 in short, it's neither meat nor fish (as I can't even consider it a pentadrabble, so a 500-word text).

Actually, it is a flashfic (so it does have a proper definition), a text between 101 and 1000 words... so, if we really wanted to, we framed it in a specific sub-genre! Which, however, was not the original intention.

THE DRABBLE/FLASHFIC

The prompt (i.e. the basis of inspiration, which can be textual, musical or visual, from which one starts for the realisation, in this context, of a story) was published within the daily-drabble channel of the FanFiction Library server on 19 August 2023. The story was written in two languages (English and Italian) on the same day and shared in the server's channels.

The drabble/flashfic fits within the What If: A Star Trek Series (index here), about two weeks after the events narrated in Finally Rejoined, and features the characters of Jadzia Dax and Lenara Kahn.

PLOT: After what happened in Finally Rejoined, Jadzia Dax and Lenara Kahn start a new life together... with a bouquet of flowers!
